What do they do? They predict things about the future and at times they are relevant. The internet is full of this stuff. "This will happen, that will happen..." they go on and on. You can't help thinking: "if only God can predict the future, how can these people put out news like this?" The answer is really simple. They don't know. Out of everything they've predicted, there's loads of things that didn't come true. Logically, it's not possible for anyone to predict the future unless they see certain signs. You would be just insightful, you would have knowledge and you could guess at some things and some of them could be right, and sometimes they are. For example, imagine I was a liar, and I didn't feel bad about it and I said "there will be a terrible plague, thousands will die, everything will be covered in blood". If I said such terrible things, I wouldn't be foretelling anything because there are already periodic outbreaks of new diseases. Or if I said "there will be a great famine", I wouldn't really be foretelling anything because there are periodic famines too. Like in these examples, oracles predict things about the future based on the information and foresight they have. Logic cannot accept that someone who can't even predict his own future would be able to foretell any event in the future. If, and only if, an all-knowing entity shared this information with them would they be able to foresee the future. Yes, sometimes God informs prophets of the events that will come to pass. But does God really notify these people? Like, I don't think these people are very holy. He wouldn't tell them. Islam forbids believing or trusting in these oracles. Can these people really foresee the future or are things not really as they seem? Let's take a look together. One of the alleged Great Oracle Baba Vanga's prophecies was that World War 3 would break out in 2010. No, that didn't happen, but the prophecy doesn't end there. She also said this war would last four years. Another prophecy was that half the world would get cancer in 2014. This also didn't happen. Another was that they would cure cancer in 2021. This oracle had another prophecy: in 2011, global radioactive waves would increase and push animals and plants into extinction and Muslims would use chemical weapons. But, if you look at what she really said, she doesn't specify a date. She doesn't even say "they'll attack the Twin Towers". Like her other prophecies, it's very open to interpretation and when events happen, her words are pulled into the context of that specific event. So, what did she actually say? She says: "horror, horror! My American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will howl in the bush". You could interpret the steel birds as planes, but if it weren't for the Twin Tower attacks, you could interpret this as being any military operation or you could just take the bird as an actual bird and interpret the whole thing around birds. As for the rest of the prophecy, There's no connection with the wolves in the bush. You can't really get any other meaning from that. We don't even have to mention Nostradamus because he has about a thousand recorded prophecies. For example, he said the end of the world would come in 1999. You're saying "how many of these came true?" Not even a hundred. The other 8 or 900 that didn't come true aren't even mentioned. The ones that that did come true are forced into context or very predictable. People like him become relevant occasionally with their predictions and prophecies Even if they're not true, they're talked about a lot but there's one individual amongst humans who predicted the future as if he were actually there. and the things they said became true word by word He predicted the hardest of things and was still right. But strangely, he did not garner the same attention as the others. People who talk endlessly about the oracles are silent when it comes to him. Who am I talking about? There are many unseen events that our prophet, Muhammed, peace be upon him, personally informs us of and they've come true many times. Expert Islamic scholars have explored these in their books. So why is it that our prophet Muhammed's, peace be upon him, news from the unseen don't get any consideration in the same way? It's not that hard to understand. The prophet spends his entire life struggling to convey the truth, he brings people the religion of God, he teaches people the concept of "worship", which can save them, he tries to save their souls. Unfortunately, this is how people show their loyalty. Did Muhammed, peace be upon him, really predict the future. There are Muslims who don't know this, and I was once one of them. Strangely, there are some that continue to deny the news even when they witness it. They are blind when it comes to the truth. I think, as humans, we have come serious issues to get over.
