Aren't you the same mother who, in normal times, wakes up in the middle of the night to check if your child is cold? but when you lose that child, how can you be this strong and resilient? Isn't the person lying next to you who is covered in blood your sibling, your spouse, your mother, your father? How can you have such unshakable faith and submission? Thousands of people on social media are looking for answers to these questions. Because in Palestine, mind blowing examples of submission to God have started to be seen that shook the entire world. While even 1% of what is being experienced there seems unbearable, the people going through all this are not in fear at all. There's a courage that we cannot fully understand. Despite all that is happening to them, the Palestinians are not abandoning their homes. They don't hesitate to go out to the streets to go to their places of worship, even though they could get hit by a bomb and be killed or be crippled at any moment. This doesn't shake them. So how can they manage to stay calm and at ease under these impossible circumstances? What brings these people to this level? The answer is a short, but deeply meaningful one. Their faith. They believe in such a religion that there is no death for those who die in the path of Allah. We cannot call them dead. They are martyrs and martyrdom is the highest rank they can achieve in the afterlife. For them, death is liberation from this limited and temporary world to meet their Lord in an infinite realm. It's like a passport to go to eternal Paradise. We see very inspirational and impactful scenes from Palestine on social media. One of our brothers says, "Alhamdulillah, my wife has become a martyr." And you should see his calmness while saying this. He said that not only his wife but also his two children have become martyrs. And as he is telling all this, he receives another devastating news. His other child has become a martyr too. But the same tranquility and submission continue. Of course, he is sad, but he doesn't utter any rebellious words against God. So how could this be? Because the person he follows, and takes as a role model is Prophet Muhammed (saw). He had experienced similar and even worse things 1400 years ago, when his son Ibrahim died in his arms when he was only one and a half years old. He said, "The eyes are shedding tears and the heart is grieved, and we will not say except what pleases our Lord. O Ibrahim! Indeed we are grieved by your separation." Not only him, but the Prophet (saw) lost 6 of his 7 children while he was still alive. Yet he was in the same attitude and submission every time he experienced this pain. That is why people who take his life as an example show this kind of behavior. Allah sends down into their hearts an incredible sense of peace and calmness which are humanly impossible to have. There is a divine intervention, but we are all deeply heartbroken because of witnessing these events. Our hearts cry out for justice. We ask, isn't the justice we all see going to be served? The oppressors die comfortably with their cruelty, and the oppressed leave this world under suffering and pain. Why does it have to be like this? Because there is no punishment in this world that is appropriate for those huge crimes. Just imagine what kind of worldly punishment could possibly match the crime of Israeli soldiers who kill and cause pain to thousands of innocents? Small crimes are dealt with in small courts, but major crimes are judged in major courts. So the trials of the oppressors, are left to a greater court. It is left to the Day of judgment, where the punishment will be severe hellfire. Just think about it. There is a God who knows even the hunger of a tiny ant and creates food for it. Is it possible that He wouldn't provide the needs of His most important creation, the human beings, especially those who are so committed to Him, like those in Palestine? Is it possible that in the afterlife, in the great court, He wouldn't take the rights of the oppressed from the oppressors? Of course not. So the Palestinian boy whose heart is burning at the loss of his loved ones, knows for sure that he will get his rights from the oppressors, and that the criminals will be punished for their crimes in the fires of Hell. Remember the Palestinian father who lost his family? He knows he will reunite with them in the realm of perfect happiness, in Paradise, and that they will never be separated again. These people don't believe something imaginary. There is such a powerful truth that it has penetrated their hearts, their souls, their minds, their entire being. Could it have such an effect, if what they believe is not the ultimate truth? There is something we always observe in this life. We have a need called hunger, and all kinds of food have been created to fulfill this need. We become tired every day and need to be refreshed. So sleep has been created. The Creator gave us our families, friends, spouses to meet our need to love and be loved. From the smallest to the largest, many things have been created that complete each other. When we see all this, we become certain that the One who takes care of our smallest needs will surely provide our greatest needs as well. Our needs for eternity and perfect justice. Just think about it. Why would he give us these needs, these desires, if he wasn't going to fulfill them? Or why would he be meeting our smallest needs if he wasn't going to meet our biggest needs? As the great scholar Bediuzzaman Said Nursi says about the afterlife, "Is it possible that He can see an atom but cannot see the sun? He hears the buzz of a mosquito, but not the roar of the thunder? No, a hundred thousand times no. It's impossible." So of course, He is going to fulfill the greatest desire of the Palestinians, who have such a level of submission to Him. Allah will reunite them with their loved ones, never to be separated again, and put them in Paradise, where there is no difficulty or pain whatsoever. They have a genuine faith. They don't have beliefs like, someone died for my sins, so all of them are forgiven. That's why I will enter heaven no matter what I do in this world. Nor do they believe I will enter heaven because I belong to this race. No, they believe in a perfectly fair God. Their belief cannot be based on assumptions or wishful thinking. As taught in Islam, they believe that all mankind is going to be responsible and held accountable for every one of their good and bad deeds. That's why they are very careful with what they say, what they do, how they behave. These all must be in line with the principles given by Allah in the Quran and in the life of the Prophet he sent (saw). Allah says in Surah az-Zalzala, فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًۭا يَرَهُۥ ٧ وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍۢ شَرًّۭا يَرَهُۥ "So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it." So the Palestinians have this pure, clean belief in the afterlife, and this is what makes them so powerful. They have understood the reality of life and death. They know in whose path they are giving their lives. They are aware of the great value of martyrdom before Allah the Almighty. They know how worthless this worldly life is compared to the Hereafter. You might be seeing them as people who are in need of help, but in their eyes, if anyone is in need of help, it is you, it is us. They give this temporary life in exchange for eternal life, while we, on the other hand, chase after a limited life and sacrifice the eternal. We don't know if we are going to pass or fail the test of the Hereafter. We are in a big risk. Some of us don't even perform Salah. Some of us are completely careless. We don't want to lose the comfort and wealth that we are used to. Sometimes that becomes the reason why we don't speak up against injustice. On the other hand, our brothers and sisters in Gaza live in the world's largest open air prison, open air concentration camp, unable to meet even their most basic needs. But despite that, they make us feel ashamed of ourselves with their faith, their courage and their contentment. Now we must ask this: Who is truly free? Them, in the open air prison of Gaza, or us? Who really needs help? Them, or us? He who knows and obeys Allah is fortunate, even if he is in dungeons, while the one who forgets Him is miserable, and a prisoner, even if he is in great palaces. There's a famous quote from Bediuzzaman Said Nursi. He said, "Faith is both light and strength. Yes, the one who acquires true faith can challenge the entire universe and be saved from the pressure of events in accordance with the strength of his faith." Aren't we seeing this exact reality right now? Our brothers and sisters in Palestine are challenging death, challenging the universe. Under the most difficult conditions, they are showing the world an extraordinary example of resilience and submission to God. Things have started to go in a very different direction. Despite being non-Muslims, many people have started researching Islam and the Quran, asking "What kind of faith is this?" There are many non-Muslims on social media who have started reading the Quran after being amazed by the power of these people's faith. We see people who say, "I've just ordered the Quran, I'm so excited!" And there are others who say, "Islam is nothing like the religion that I thought it was, the media lied to us." And they are getting closer to Islam. There are even some who become Muslim. We really cannot see where things are going, and I believe we will read many more comments and hear many more events in favor of Islam. But more people in the world need to see these truths, and we also need to show the effect of Islam through our lives, our manners. Bediuzzaman says, "If we show true Islam, and the honesty and truthfulness that befits it, non-Muslims will enter Islam in huge groups." And finally, I call out to you, the cruel Israeli government, and those who deliberately serve its cause. I don't know what you think you're doing, or what state of mind you're in, but I do know this: if you go on like this, everything you do will only serve to increase your punishment in hell. The only thing you're accomplishing is the exact opposite of what you intend. You're causing the Muslims to go to heaven, making some people be influenced by Islam and helping them to become Muslim. And the number of these people is constantly increasing. The more you struggle, the closer you get to drowning. You think you're serving Zionism, but without realizing it, you're serving Islam. Do not ever forget this. The day when the oppressed takes revenge is more terrifying than the day when the tyrant oppresses.
